Hi to all my library friends! Welcome to my library blog of ideas, thoughts and hopefully some plans that can help our libraries, both school and public libraries to be great! So what does great mean?
I believe that great libraries can be thought of as the “information hub” that connects people to information, entertainment, the arts, and learning – as well as people to people. I believe that libraries need to become the social “center” of their community. I also believe that school and public libraries should be interlinked so as to provide seamless integration of knowledge, content and technology tools that support our children so they can compete successfully in this interconnected, international world of the 21st century.
I also believe that any library that fails to connect people to information, entertainment and learning as well as people to people will be doomed to extinction over time.
